The DEFINE-UK model applies the ecological stock-flow consistent approach of DEFINE to the UK. Drawing on the techniques that have been used for the development of country-specific empirical stock-flow consistent models, the structure of DEFINE-UK is derived directly from UK national accounting data about macroeconomic, financial and ecological variables.
DEFINE-UK is used to produce scenarios for the UK macrofinancial system and its ecological impacts under different environmental policies. The model further provides a blueprint for how the DEFINE methodology can be applied to a specific country for the evaluation of national environmental policies.
The figure below summarises the structure of the DEFINE-UK model in its current, preliminary, version.

More information about the preliminary version of the DEFINE-UK model can be found at this FMM conference paper.
